I have rented many boats from samboats and this is by far and away the worst rental. The hand over took all of 10 minutes. The boat was filthy. The main head was not working properly as it was partially blocked by sand. This was apparent immediately. Insufficient pillows were supplied, so we ended up buying 2. The Anchor light did not work. The water in one of the tanks was brown.
The diesel tank was 3/4 full at the start of the charter; we had video evidence with a time and date to prove it. At the end of the holiday the owner insisted it was full at the beginning and threatened us with police action if it was not filled up completely, costing us 152 euros. He implied we had manipulated the fuel guage by switching off the engine at the appropriate moment. This was clearly false as it was a video and the engine was heard throughout.
I can cope without an anchor light and a dirty boat and can l afford 152 euros but threatening behaviour and being accused of dishonesty is unacceptable.

When you have a problem, e.g. sails, not a full fuel tank, something that does not work, you will tell it on the emergency phone number that we gave you, so that it is resolved ON THE SITE, and not after 2 weeks, the last day.
