We hired this boat for a day trip around Paros, including an attempt to visit the Blue Lagoon.
Unfortunately, the sea was unexpectedly rough, and we didn’t feel safe continuing after 30 minutes. We briefly lost control leaving the dock due to unclear throttle instructions, while the owner shouted directions. He later used this to blame us for being incapable, but the boat was advertised as beginner-friendly with no license required. The owner came to help us return, which we appreciated. Even he had trouble managing the boat and scraped another vessel while docking, reinforcing how difficult the conditions were.
He initially offered a refund but later refused and became hostile when we followed up. We were also threatened with legal action for leaving a negative review.
While we appreciated the initial assistance, the experience left us shaken and disappointed. This may not be the right rental for those without/ minimal boating experience or when sea conditions are unpredictable.
